Description:
Description: What I am trying to do is create an ASP application using a SQL2000 or Access back-end to present the user with GUI point-and-click to upload a set of images into a cohesive photo gallery. Options would be:
I have purchased some software that works to do the upload and the gallerie creation and some customer administration+signup features from V-ASP; All it needs is a print ordering system and finishing of the orderings.
Deliverables:
1. Ask user to register and holds his data in a database (SQL) Create cookie so that user does not need to register again on next visits.
2. LOCAL SELECT (browser window) first things first : offer user which one he wants to use A or B (A. multiple upload left hand pane : ActiveX control for a multiple selection of local pictures (only pictures!) right hand pane : Rendering area > VBS of JS that shows thumbnails of all pictures found in the shown folder + a checkbox + rotate possibility+add caption text continue button that uploads selected (checkbox) in one step pictures come in photo gallery that is shown in right hand pane)
B. one by one upload: ask user how many pictures he wants to upload and show as many file boxes as needed. user browses and fills boxes with image files continue button that uploads pictures in one step pictures come in photo gallery (see 3) that is shown in right hand pane a checkbox per picture + rotate possibility+add caption text after each upload : user is offered possibility to go back to upload screen and upload more pictures
For A and B picture properties (width & height) should be retrieved and stored in database to see LATER
users can order prints (printformats read from hidden table or textfile) and order them orders are kept in cart (client and serverside) that follows user and that he easily can find when returning to side here the property checking is in order - pixelwidth &height are checked per ordered format (9x13 - 10 x 15 - ) against a table of minimum requirements (=table holds for each format the minimum pixelwidth and height) per picture a three degree qualification is shown (bad - good - excellent)
3. all images come in SQL database as BLOBS or on disk
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
ASP SQL2000
Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:

From Gunjan Karun |
Hi,
We have worked on projects that allow the user to upload images or other
binary files on the server using http (like the attachments of Yahoo or
Hotmail). We can provide what you want in the price that you want.
The good thing about our solution is that our solution would be pure ASP.
You would not require third party dlls etc. All images would be stored on
the disk.
Our only concern is the deadline that you have mentioned. Is it possible
for you to extend that deadline to at least 7 days.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Regards

Here is a typical scenario that I foresee
1. User Visits your home page... user will have option to
a. Login
b. Register
2. On login, the user is taken to user's homepage. This page has links to
a. Upload Multiple Images (Do you have that ActiveX Control or should do we need to develop
that, Please clarify)
b. Upload using file boxes. Here the user mentions how many files to upload and is presented with that number of file boxes.
c. Status of Old Print Jobs: Here the user can check the status of old print jobs.
d. Create a new Gallery
e. Review Existing Galleries.
3. The user uploads images. (We would be able to show the preview ONLY AFTER THE UPLOAD IS OVER). Here each image would have a check box, and a text box where the user can add his/her comments for each image as well as for the entire gallery. The user will also have checkboxes saying either print the selected image or print all images in this gallery.
4. When the user clicks 'Print Gallery' or 'Print Selected Images', we take the user to the printing specifications page. Here the user selects options like
a. Print Format (A list of options selected from Database)
b. Width and Height (A list of options selected from Database)
c. Degree Qualification (Please explain about
it)
d. Contact and Delivery Information
e. Mode of Payment (either cheque or Paypal, please
mention about any other mode that you want)
f. Button to Give for Print.
5. Now the user is shown a summary of his/her order and a mail is sent to
you as well as the user.
6. You'll have admin options to update the status of the print jobs.
Please rectify me if my assumptions are wrong or if I'm missing anything.
Regards
