Description:
Hello. I have a compaq presario 2100, with an internal Conexant Modem. I have installed the drivers from conexant for this modem on Mandrake Linux 8.1. When I run the /usr/sbin/hsfconfig, I am told that my modem's device name is now /dev/ttySHSFO.

When I look in the /dev folder (as super user), I don't see this device. I have tried to connect to the internet using all the available devices listed in the connection manager (/dev/modem, /dev/ttyS0-S3, etc), but ttySHSFO is not found.

Can I rename this device to be ttyS0 so it will dial to the internet, and if so, how?
