Description:
I need help by someone who is REALLY good at Javascript and also know VB6 to write a function / module that can encode a HTML page so the HTML source is not visible when viewing source in the browser. The Javascript should decode the page and make it show up okay in any browser. If we try to view the source in the browser, we should nit be able to see actual HTML Source. I.e. the VB6 function should Encode the HTML, and a Javascript should Decode it in the browser...
I need this Function / Module done VERY fast, within a few days if possible ... I will work together with you to test out the function until it works perfect. You should show us how it works by a simple demo prg that can open a html page and save the protected page.
Important: Then encoded pages must work perfect in ANY browser, and be very secure, support CSS, and filesize must be as small as possible...
You can see a sample of a similar protected page here: http://www.exelock.com/index3.html
The Function interface I need, should be something like this:
Public Function EncodeHTML(ByVal sOriginalHTML As String, _ BlockTextSelection As Boolean, _ DisableRightClick As Boolean, _ PrintPageAllowed As Boolean, _ HideStatusText As Boolean, _ NumberOfEmptyLines As Integer, _ ShowMetaTags As Boolean, _ PasswordProtect As Boolean, _ Optional Password As String, _ Optional errorURL As String) As String
'sOriginalHTML - The original HTML code that we should encode and protect. 'BlockTextSelection - if True user can NOT select any text 'DisableRightClick - If True right mouse click is disabled 'PrintPageAllowed - If False the HTML page can not be printed from the browser 'HideStatusText - If True, the Statusline in the browser don't show links etc when mouse over ... 'NumberOfEmptyLines - Add "NumberOfEmptyLines" empty lines above and below the encoded code. 'ShowMetaTags - If True the metatags should not be encoded for search engines. 'PasswordProtect - If True, the page should ask for a password before the page is displayd 'Password - The password that is needed to view the page 'errorURL - The URL we send users who type in wrong password
'Your code goes here...
End Function
Deliverables: 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
VB6 Source that encode HTML that must run okay in all common browsers.
Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:
Mar 8, 2003 EDT

Hello,
The project was so interesting I just couldn't keep myself away :-)
You can see my JavaScript certification in my CV.
The encoding/decoding can be mathemathical crunching or a predefined scheme of character mapping or Both combined.
Whichever way you choose. If you have a better suggesting I'll employ your approach.
The development/testing will take about 2-3 days.
Looking forward your reply.
Best Regards,
