Description:
This is a simple java script to initiate a popup alert box to prompt the visitor to subscribe to my newsletter. When the visitor agrees, or clicks ok, the script will activate the visitor&'s email client to send his information to my autoresponder to receive more information.
I need the script to be activated when the website loads. There should be an adjustable time delay to popup.
The script should send: name of visitor (if possible) email address, IP address, date and time stamp to my autoresponder as well as write this information on a text (or cvs) file in my website in a table format with header as: name, email, IP, date, time.
Deliverables:
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.

Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all business projects < $500 (before the buyer's money is escrowed) is a violation of both the software buyer and seller agreements.

Hello, I am interested in your bid request.
As I see you want Java to achieve this project, if you permit it, I would suggest to use Javascript (which is more reliable and is avaliable on almost all browsers) and PHP.
If you have PHP installed I can add a few improvements to the project, for example, to send the email using your web server, instead of calling the default email client of the user, also the script could retrieve the IP and date, plus other values like browser and operating system, referrer, etc, also PHP would be used to write this data to the CSV or text file, and also for sending the email automatically.
As I see you want the project made in the Linux platform, that's good because PHP is on Linux, so it would be very good.
Project finished in a few hours after I notice my bid is accepted, code very well commented and troughly tested.
