Description:
I am looking to develop a stock charting website with an auto email function and and a database screener.

all the data is already provided but i need to have some scripting that will manipulate this data on line

i have described how this could be developed below but am open to coder input as well. if you have additional question please send and i will answer

Deliverables:
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.

Stock charting Website
This would be a three part project
Part1
I am looking for the development of some charting applications for a website. I am unsure how to go about this so I will explain my current process and then will accept suggestions. Each night I download stock market data and run this data through an analysis program. This program then spits out all the data that is required in text format. This would include approx. 1 year worth of daily price history as well as a series of calculation values for each day. The data is in the format ;
1 Date1, symbol, High price of the day1, Low, Open , Close, Calc1, Calc2,….
2 Date2, symbol, High price of the day2, Low, Open , Close, Calc1, Calc2,….

There would also be an intra-day data file. The format would be very similar to the daily except there would be a time value
1 Date1, time, symbol, High price of the day1, Low, Open , Close, Calc1, Calc2,….

The files would be a US equity file and a Canadian equity which combined have approximately 3000 symbols and 1 year worth of history which would get updated each night. The intra day data would have 15 days worth of history. My preference is the have this data stored in Access 2000 database

I want to have some scripts written that would accept input from the user such as symbol and a list box that allows them to chart which of the indicators they wish to see below the chart. This data would them be displayed on screen. I have attached a sample chart Sam_cht.gif in the attached zip file of what the chart looks like and a text file containing all the data of the chart.

I would also be open to another format that grabs data from an external source and then calculates the indicator values and charts. The key will be making sure that the calculations could be performed

Part 2
The other aspect of this site is a stock screener tool. In the user interface for this product I would like to have several option boxes
The first would be a box for daily or intraday analysis.
Daily Alerts box - 6 selections
Sector - similar to database now on site
Industry group - similar to current database now on site

Advanced screener where users can input the columns of data they request and the filters for those columns. The output would then be put in table format with a hyperlink on the symbol that if clicked would pull up a chart, this would also have an option to put the data in printable format

This would again be a database query The data for this file will only have the previous days values for the 3000 symbols.
Each night a different text file will be created with all the Symbols for the last day and auto imported into access. This file would have many more variables from which users to screen or filter stocks.

I currently generate reports in access using this data All filters and screens will be given to the coder and the current database would be made available to the coder.

Part 3
The third project would be an auto email management system that allows users to pick a number of stocks that should an alert occur would then send them an email. This script would run after the database has been updated each night This will involve cross matching the database of users and their data selections with the master alerts list.. if any matches ocurr then a email containing the Symbols and the ALERT type must be placed in an email and sent. The database of users must also work with the password management system has yet to be installed

I will be available to work with the coder and answer as many questions as possible.
