Description:
Email verification software that verifies email addresses either being valid or not. The purpose of this program would be to clean very large mailing lists. It would require a database backend which has to be the Single file database EasyTable from AidAim software. The program would save files with custom extensions. It should also have the ability to set rules wherein it can exclude certain email addresses from being verified. It should also have rules on the reply codes received from the recipient&'s mailserver, for example if reply code is 421, it should mark the email address as unchecked.
This program would have to be completely self sufficient, i.e it should obtain the DNS address of the computer on which it is running and use to query the recipient&'s hostname for the MX addresses. It should then verify the address thru the mail server.
The verification system should be multithreaded, and OOP based. I recommend that you can create a TThread descendant to function as the verification system, but you can do what you want as long as it is OOP based.
It should also be able to import from WAB (Windows AddressBook), CSV and Access at the least. If you can add more import options, please drop me a message.
Requirements: -Written in Delphi 6 or Delphi 7 -You should use Indy 9.1 as the Internet Library -OOP based programming -A really good Grid component (Recommended QuantumGrid 4) -EasyTable from http://www.aidaim.com as single file database. -Help Files for the program -Installation for the completed program.
There is a good example program out there, Advanced Email Verifier from http://www.glocksoft.com. This program is very close to what I need.
If you have any questions just drop me a message.
Deliverables: 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP Borland Delphi

hi,
I have experience with this kind of programs. I already coded an email verifier in C# but it is not multithreaded nor able to import wab and access files.
also I coded an email client like outlook which is able to import wab files in delphi.
the access import feature is simple, I will do some research for csv too.
I will use Delphi6. I will design all the icons and make the installation kit for you.
will be completed in about 3 weeks.
also, it is my duty to inform you (in case you didn't already knew) that these kind of verifiers are not 100% efficient, some servers might servers(like yahoo, I think) wouild declare that any mailbox exists, as a method of preventing spam.
anyway, will work on abaout 70% of email addresses.
I am providing a link to the email client I was talking about, so you can have an ideea about the software that our team is developing.

since you invited me, I suppose you know my ratings but you can check in case you don't know : I was rateed only 10 and I am coder #11 in the top.
best regards, Victor
