The match engine will have to run automatically from a web-server at a set time at certain days of the week.

The match engine will be responsible for running every game in the game. The fixtures will have to be taken from a MySQL database, and then the two teams ran against each other.
Once the match has been played, the match report should be created onsite automatically, to the website at a certain url.

Reports will have to contain the following:

1. Players name from each team in different colour bolded font.
2. Minutes next to each piece of commentary.
3. Commentary
4. team names at the top of the page
5. Statistics such as shots on goal at the bottom
6. The result
7. The stadium name

Whoever wins a game will need a player to have a extra skill point attributed to them. This must be a random process. The changes would have to be made in a MySQL database field. So for example, if 1st plays 11th, the stadium will be 70% full. All stadiums are a 10,000 capacity to start off with. Each season this will be changed manually. The total amount of credits (this is the currency) to be given to the home team will depend on how much they are charging for entry. This can be found out from a MySQL database.

Once the match has finished, the credits should be awareded immediately.

Player Skills for each position must effect how the player plays in the game.

Positional Skills:
Goalies: Speed, Agility, Awareness
Defenders: Heading, Tackling, Speed
Midfielders: Passing, Shooting, Speed
Strikers: Shooting, Speed, Heading

Tactics will be an important part of the engine, there will need to be someway of tactics being used in the engine, but I dont know how that would be done.

Tactics listed below...
4-4-2 Diamond
5-3-2 sweeper

There should also be some interaction with the aggression level picked, the higher the aggression, the better the team plays.

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.

3) Help to install onto webserver.

Has to be able to run automatically using cron jobs on a Linux or Unix server.

Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:
Mar 15, 2003 EDT
Deadline legal notes: All times are expressed in the time zone of the site EDT (UT - 5). If the buyer omitted a time, then the deadline is 11:59:59 PM EDT on the indicated date.

Special Conditions / Other:
Must be completely finished on or before set deadline as above.

Match results produced from the match engine MUST be realistic. No 9-0's in every game. Or 8-6's. For example, 5-0 would only occur in rare circumstances or if one team is a few classes above the other team.

Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all business projects < $500 (before the buyer's money is escrowed) is a violation of both the software buyer and seller agreements. We monitor all site activity for such violations and can instantly expel transgressers on the spot, so we thank you in advance for your cooperation. If you notice a violation please help out the site and report it. Thanks for your help.
All monetary amounts on the site are in United States dollars.
