Description:
You have been asked to work with a ticket agency to write a program to determine the total amount due for concert tickets and the amount of complementary beverage coupons earned. Your program should accept the following two inputs: 1.# of tickets purchased and 2. the category of tickets. The output should consist of the following when the user presses the calc. total button: 1. amt. due from ticket sales 2. amount of sales tax 3. tot. amount due 4. Quantity of complementary bev. coupons earned. The following rules are in effect: Box Seats= $50.00 per ticket for 5 tickets or less $40.00 per tick. for 6 or more Pavillion Seats= $35.00 per ticket for 5 tick. or les $25.00 per tick. for 6 or more Lawn Seats= $20.00 per tick. for 5 tick. or less $12.00 per tick. for 6 or more
Sales tax is 4% Comple. bev. coup. are issued at a rate of 2 coup. for every 3 tickets purchased. The # of tick. purch. and bev. coup. should be integer values. Comp. bev. coup. calc. are not rounded i.e.: 2 tick. earn 0 coup, 3 tick. earn 2 coup.,5 tick. earn 2 coup., 6 tick. earn 4 coup. The currency amt. should be floating point numbers and be formatted as currency. The calc. for bev. coup. calc. should be in a user-defined procedure that returns the total # of coup. earned. The program will contain 2 forms: 1. a splash screen 2. a main form Splash screen will disp. when proj. is run. It will contain the student's name, course, and proj. ident. The splash screen will prompt the user to input their name into a text box and then proceed to the main screen. The MAIN SCREEN button is to remain disabled until entry is made into textbox. Splash scr. will terminate when MAIN SCR. button is pressed and take user to the MAIN Screen. The Main form will greet user by name and prompt. user to enter # of tick. and categ. Form should contain a CLEAR but. QUIT. and CALC.TOT. butt.
Deliverables: 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
