Description:
I'm working on a program using VB 6. In the program there's a collection of user defined objects. All the objects contain members of the types string, byte and boolean. I want to save/open the collection to/from a flat file (not a database) using the common dialog. I know there are ways to serialize/deserialize objects in C++, and even VB.Net. But being a novice at programming, right now I'm limited to VB 6. I vaguely recall that there is a way to serialize/ deserialize objects using VB 6 (Don Appelman?). If you know how to do this, or if you can figure out some sort of work around, please let me know. I have $200 in escrow. If the project would require more, I'd have to wait a few weeks. Thanks John
Deliverables: 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
Windows 98-XP

Hi John!
Attached is a demo program that illustrates the technique.
It may be adequate enough for your needs.
If not, I will answer any questions, concerns at a rate of $25/hour, one hour minimum.
If you prefer, I can also write the code for you myself. Estimated $50 max, depending on amount/complexity, including error handling and documentation.
