Description:
The request is for a database driven management tool, to manage a back-end search engine we bought from Autonomy Software (www.autonomy.com). This is already running our server.
The ASP.NET application that needs to be developed, is a user interface to a numer of tables and a Autonomy search server back-end.
It collects data in database tables to train ‘agents&'. By feeding an agent lots of example documents, it is able (in Autonomy) to recognize other documents with similar contents. It is used for building a categorization system.
So, if you feed an agent lots of documents about Soccer, then when a new article about soccer comes in, the agent can recognize it as belonging to the soccer category.
The scope of this project is just to build the front end to collect enough data for the training. The actual back-end that does the categorization using Autonomy is an existing application. All I/O with Autonomy is through the HTTP protocol.
Deliverables:
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. Specifically:-
• Design of a data model, based on the table descriptions in the attached document
• SQL Server script for generating the data model
• ASP.NET application to manage the data contained in the tables, according to the specs listed below. This also includes parsing the output generated from the Autonomy.
• A simple, yet effective user interface
• Application build in ASP.NET using Visual Studio .Net (no beta&'s), using standard components only.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
