The catalog software was purchased from VP-ASP. I would like only certain users to be able to upload drawings to my catalog. These users would sign in. They would browse to a specific item. There would be a button on the page that only a user with “drawing upload” rights could see. The user would click on the button and browse to the correct drawing to upload it. The tool would then automatically create idrop content on the specific catalog web page. The idrop content would include an Autodesk Inventor part file (.ipt). With the idrop content in my catalog a user/engineer with “idrop download” rights would be able to browse my catalog. Find the item they are interested in. They would then drag a drawing file (.ipt) from my web site into Autodesk Inventor using the idrop technology. I may need to study your VP-ASP catalogue software, but I don't think that would be a problem. I did go through some of the pages of Autodesk i-drop center following the link given by you. I think I have understood it partly and with some more time spent on it I should be able to handle this well. I have over 12 years of programming exp. and a Master's degree in Comp. Sci. to backup. I have worked on several complex projects and I have a very fast grasping capabilities. I may need a week's time to do this for you.
