The utilities needs to accept a filename, the number of bytes, a offset and a flag to tell it to start at the begingin or end of the file. The command should work something like this: remove data.bin, 50, 20, 1 would remove 50 bytes starting in position 20 from the begining of the file named data.bin remove data.bin, 50, 0, 0 would remove 50 bytes from the end of the file named data.bin Deliverables: 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
