Hello,
My name is John Morgan and I have been an Application Developer for almost 10 years, working 6+ years for a Fortune 500 financial organization and the past 3+ have been spent consulting for such companies as Aramark, Aetna, Computer Sciences Corporation and Towers Perrin.
I have read your request and looked you your attachment and would like to work with you on this project.
I have been working with VB and VBA for the past 8 years and my last rentacoder project involved a similar task, processing a text file and formatting it nicely in Excel. I have attached a copy of the text file as well as the output for your review. Simply save both files to a folder and when you open the excel file, simply change the path on the Main Form and click on Load Reports. The user didn't want a fancy Interface so that is why it is pretty basic.
Anyway, I am ready to begin immediately, so let me know if you are interested.

Hello,
Thanks for responding. If my bid is accepted, I would like to talk with you a little more about what you want, but the program itself will be done by Monday.

Hello again,
If you can take the first 2 or three reports on the attachment and enter it on a spreadsheet the way you would like to see it, it would expedite the process and allow me to get started immediately.

Hello again,
Just curious as to when you are expecting to make a final decision on your program? I would really like to work with you as VBA is my specialty.
Thanks,
John |

Hello,
I assure you it will be as readable as if you opened it with WordPad. Again, as far as asthetics, I can create something for your review, and if you don't like it, I can rework it with different colors, formatting, etc.
I know making a decision is difficult, so one place I recommend people go to is the RAC resumes and ratings if you haven't already looked them over.
Anyway, I will wait to hear from you as to who your selection is. |
