Description:
Web Based Customer Tracking Program with Future Phases
• Developed in VB.NET or C# with ASP.NET
• Must be a CLIENT RICH interface that runs under a browser (you can limit it to support IE only)
• Should use an outlook bar control
• Database needs to reside on web server
• Must be clean/nice interface skinnable interface
• Ability to search for customers based on any field
• Ability to capture and store the customer/family members picture, picture needs to be stored at the database level not as a file
• Ability to scroll through the customer list
• Must have ability to print customer list and mailing labels
• Must have ability to print customer membership cards with a picture and bar code
• Screen should have nice toolbar for navigating the database and also allows emailing the particular customer that is selected
• Track the overall customer information including:
o CustomerId
o Customer type (user definable)
o First Name
o Last Name
o Phone 1
o Phone 2
o Email
o Address
o City
o State
o Zip
• Ability to Track the customer&'s family members including:
o Name
o Birthdate/age
o Gender
o EmailAddress
• Database fields are:
Table Names: tblCustomers
Fields: strCustomerId,strEmail,strAddress,strCity,strState,strZip,strCountry,strPhone,
strPhone2, strCustomerType,Pic
Deliverables:
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.

Hello.
I have couple questions / request for clarification:

What kind of control this is? For the web app? Any specific one, or this is
the part of the project (develop vertical bar control for web forms)? Or I can
use something like http://www.codeproject.com/useritems/PanelBar.asp
?

Can Dreamweaver template work count as a skinnable interface?

I am not objecting to this, but trust me, you will have
numerous problems regarding this - I developed couple of CMSs with this feature and only Oracle 8.1.7 handled things as expected.
Even MS SQL 2000 has problems with blob files. This can be done, but
this can be an obstacle in the work. Any specific reason why not to
use file system for storage and database field as a pointer to file?

Separate pages for printing? Any specs about it? For example, if I format
page properly in the browser, is that counts as ability to print
things?

Same question here: there is no sophisticated support for printing in a web
client and this can be a problem. Do you want separate Win Form app which will
handle this kind of requests? Is there free True Type Barcode fonts, or it is
your responsibility to obtain one?
