Description:
I need someone to write either a VB module or a VC++ control that allows me to block Popups from within a VB Hosted IE control. I can give you an example of the code I am talking about. There are lots of popup blockers, but they don't work with a hosted IE.
There is a battery of tests that the product must pass (Look at http://www.meaya.com/testpop ). Our current solution is a Hosted IE with VB 6.
I personally feel that a DLL that is called from the VB program will work well, but am very open to discussions.
Deliverables: 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) No Installation package required. Just object and source code.
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
Windows 98,ME,2000,XP. IE 5.5 or higher. VB6 SP6 hosting an IE control.
Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:
Feb 1, 2003 EDT
Deadline legal notes: All times are expressed in the time zone of the site EDT (UT - 5). If the buyer omitted a time, then the deadline is 11:59:59 PM EDT on the indicated date.
Special Conditions / Other:
Must pass tests prior to acceptance. Follow up work will follow for system tray app for allowing popups, etc. First thing is to block them...
Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all business projects < $500 (before the buyer's money is escrowed) is a violation of both the software buyer and seller agreements.
We monitor all site activity for such violations and can instantly expel transgressers on the spot, so we thank you in advance for your cooperation.
If you notice a violation please help out the site and report it. Thanks for your help.

Hello,
I believe I can help you with this project. From my understanding, you are trying to block popups that occur with the Web Browser control that is placed on a form in your Visual Basic project?
If that's what you need to do I can definitely help you with some pure VB source code for your application.
I developed a web browser for children called MyWeb (www.myweb.com) and we have a feature in there called Popup Protector that does just that. The browser program itself was developed all in Visual Basic.
If I can be of further assistance please let me know.
Thanks for your consideration,
Chuck Hall
