Hi,
on the basis of the proposal you gave I'd highly consider creating a Windows Service. You might be right with your estimates of '8 hours or less', it IS possible; however, I wonder whether it is advisable. After all, since the final deadline is January 15, I'd allow 2-4 days finishing the code, and 1-2 days testing and creating an installer, although I characterize myself as what you call an 'expert' - due to quality and stability issues. I'm fine with all of the given requirements and would be more than happy to do this job for you. I have about 10 months experience in programming the brand-new .NET Framework, and 2 years of programming all kinds of Windows and web applications using Visual Basic (details can be found under my RentACoder profile).
Looking forward to hearing from you, Regards, Philipp Schumann Oxford, United Kingdom
