The client application to be built interprets the string the string can be a command to execute like open new form or a set of data to render in a gui environment. for rendering the data the Client gui application receives the form name (like customer.form) then it looks in a local database and if no definition for the for is encountered, it request the forms detail to the server. the forms detail describes the fixed part of the form (logos, fixed text etc, as well as a definition for the input buffer example 4 custcode,inputText,row1,col1 30 custname,inputText,row2,col2 30 custaddress,inputText,row3,col3 9(2) custbill,outputNumber,row10,col3 from the definition the client extracts the data from the input buffer and allocates dinamically as many controls as the definition requires, resizing them to the lenght declared and placing them on the screen. when the user fill the fields and press a button, the input buffer is reconstructed and passed to the server for processing. The client application must act as an activex with proprieties like Myscreen.Fields("myfield").value that I can use to interact with the client object to modify the behaviour of the client application (for example I could use the onSubmit event aof the activex to change the input value for the address of my customer) The code must be VB6 I have a complete analisys ready with further detail available for people interested in the bid.
