Description:
I have five or six .mdb files which I want to be able to zip up (compress) automatically into a folder.
I can provide the names and paths to the files, and am looking for the vb6 code to take those files, put them into a folder which will be named: format(Now(), "mmddyy") & "_OSBU_" & lbluniqueID.
For example, if I provide the following variables and paths, your code must create a folder in the same directory, name the folder as shown below, compress the folder, and encrypt (if you can do this) it too.
vPath1 = C:/Program Files/OSBU/db1.mdb vPath2 = C:/Program Files/OSBU/db2.mdb vPath3 = C:/Program Files/OSBU/db3.mdb vPath4 = C:/Program Files/OSBU/db4.mdb vPath5 = C:/Program Files/OSBU/db5.mdb (NOTE:this last db may or may not be present.)
lbluniqueID = "12345xxB"
This folder (120502_OSBU_12345xxB) then needs to get encrypted and compressed, and left in the folder /OSBU. Users may be using W98SE, ME, 2K, or XP - so it needs to work with all of these.
Other requirements include no OCXs or complicated code. The code should take up just a few procedures and be well commented and easily followed.
Since I've been burned before with folks saying they can do this, then don't, I will only consider bids with a demo that follows my requirements. The code is going to be put into a larger program I have, so don't spend much time on a GUI.
Thanks
