Description:
This is the second of 14 programs we need (3 a week for 5 weeks). It must be in Delphi 3 or Delphi 5 (not 6, not 7).
The starting interface for this project is already done and is included in the zip file.
This program will "prepare" a web site or other collection of HTML files on a PC for compiling by an ebook compiler. It will traverse the directory structure and copy all the files - images, html, scripts, everything - to a single project directory (designated by prompting user to select/create).
It must be intelligent enough to rename files when file name conflicts occur. It will parse all the HTM/HTML and script files and CONVERT all file names and remove paths so that the files all "work" in the current directory, including those files renamed to prevent conflicts.
HTTP References to files that do not exist in the directory should not be changed but flagged and listed for the user. User can "check" those links they wish to change - being prompted for the new link - others are left alone. Link Changes idicated will be made to the file.
A 'cleanup' feature will parse the files to identify any file in the project directory that is not used/needed by the html and script files - such as an unused image - and present the user with a list where they can check those unneeded files to be deleted by the program (or delete all).
Knowing how the files will be used, this program must be smart enough to allow for capabilities and functions I have not anticipated here.

Deliverables:
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
all windows, netscape 4.x and above, IE 5.x and above.

Deadline legal notes: All times are expressed in the time zone of the site EDT (UT - 5). If the buyer omitted a time, then the deadline is 11:59:59 PM EDT on the indicated date.

I like systems that work for absolute newbies. If this needs something I did not specify, include it.
I am very price oriented, since I am capable of developing this application myself - I just don't have time.

Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all business projects < $500 (before the buyer's money is escrowed) is a violation of both the software buyer and seller agreements.
