Description:
This is part of a project for one of my classes. I need a Battle ship type game that lets me put "ships" in an array and it records the hits in a text file.
Deliverables: 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
I need 25 x 25 check boxes to represent each area a hit can be made.
I need in the lower corner 5 ships one that takes up 5 spaces, one 4 spaces, 2 that take up 3 spaces and 1 that takes up 2 spaces.
When a person is ploting where they want their "ship" to go when they click on the ship a pop up comes up asking vertical or horizonal. The user then clicks in the box that it wants to start the ship at. If it is vertical then it fills in the checks downward for however many the user has selected. If it is horizonal then it fills to the right. Error checking is needed so that you can't place a piece somewhere it can't go. Each time a ship is plotted it will write its corrdinates to a text file. when the user is done ploting their ships the game begins.
You will also have to make an offense screen with the same amount of checks in it. When a user makes a check there need to be a button that says "Fire" When the button is pressed it writes the corrdinates on a separate text file than the first.
Platform:
Needs to be done in Visual Studio.NET
