Description:
I need a VB6 function that will download http pages from PayPal. I will pay you $100 regardless of your bid. For instance, if you bid $30, I will give you the other $70 as an extra bonus. But I need this code IMMEDIATELY! (I listed 6000+ auctions on ebay on Free Listing Day last week, and now I am overwhelmed processing paypal payments by hand.)

Code is to be delivered within 24 hours of my accepting your bid. *Please* do not bid until you are reasonably sure that your code is going to work. I WILL GIVE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK if you do not deliver and I get the gut feeling that you bid lightly.

Your will need catalyst's SocketWrench Secure control. The control will work on your computer for a trial period of one month. Download it here:

http://www.catalyst.com/cgi-bin/download.cgi?product=secure-wrench

(enter your name, etc to get to the donwload page)

The code to download the paypal pages is already written. Download it here:

http://www.gambori.com/paypal/PayPalHistory.vbp
http://www.gambori.com/paypal/PayPalHistory.vbw
http://www.gambori.com/paypal/PayPalHistory.frm

The problem is that the pages come in content-type "chunked" It has hex code embebbed and I don't know how to get convince the server to send me the next "chunk"

I wrote to catalyst asking for help and this is what they replied:

http://www.gambori.com/paypal/CatalystLetter.txt

Code has to be written as a function. I give it the resource and it returns me the page in a string variable. Something similar to this:

If GetPayPalSecurePage("www.paypal.com", "/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_history-download", History$, ErrorString$) = false then msgbox("ERROR: ... etc.

AND I have to be able to receive BOTH the PayPal history and also the individual pages with the payments. In other words, the routine must work well with ANY page received in secure chunked mode.

I can give you a throwaway paypal account that I opened expressely for this purpose. It has a few $0.01 payments received. Maybe not enough to not fit in one single chunk. Please keep this in mind.

I CANNOT GIVE YOU MY REAL PAYPAL ACCOUNT.

Deliverables:
1) Complete and fully-functional source code of all work done.

2) Code HAS TO RETURN THE PAGE OR FILE IN A VARIABLE. I cannot use code that saves the page/file to the hard drive.

3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.

4) CODE HAS TO BE DELIVERED WITHIN 24 HOURS of my accepting the bid.

5) PLEASE, DO NOT BID UNTIL YOUR CODE IS WORKING, OR AT THE VERY LEAST, UNTIL YOU ARE CONVINCED THAT IT IS GOING TO WORK.

6) I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REJECT CODE that does not use catalyst's Socket Wrench Secure 4.0

WHAT I REALLY NEED IS CODE THAT WORKS RIGHT AWAY WITHOUT GIVING ME ANY MORE HEADACHES.

Platform:
VB6

Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:
Nov 7, 2002 EDT
Deadline legal notes: All times are expressed in the time zone of the site EDT (UT - 5). If the buyer omitted a time, then the deadline is 11:59:59 PM EDT on the indicated date.

Special Conditions / Other:
CODE HAS TO BE DELIVERED WITHIN 24 HOURS OF MY ACCEPTING THE BID

I OFFER A BONUS:

BONUS = $100 - YOUR BID

*IF* I DON'T HAVE TO LIST THE PROJECT AGAIN. (IF YOUR CODE WORKS)

Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all business projects < $500 (before the buyer's money is escrowed) is a violation of both the software buyer and seller agreements. We monitor all site activity for such violations and can instantly expel transgressers on the spot, so we thank you in advance for your cooperation. If you notice a violation please help out the site and report it. Thanks for your help.

Hi Gambori,

after I've examined your app and corrected the neccessary functions I do get a History.csv file or even any other page you would like to have. If you could please specify in which other paypal-pages you're interested, I'll add a function and menu for them !

I would be happy if you choose my bid.

Regards

Christoph
