VBA Sorting Script in Excel
Bid Request Id: 33082
|
|
|
Description:
This is an intelligent "sorting script" (VBA Macro) that is required in MS Excel. A standard formatted excel spreadsheet will consist of two sheets.
Sheet one will contain a unique number, there will be 4 other columns. There will be no repeats.
Sheet two will contain a jumbled mess of data including data for each of the 4 columns mentioned in sheet one.
A test will need to be applied to the second sheet to associate the unique number to the particular rows. This test will be as follows: If any 3 of the 4 pieces of data match (regardless of case used) then the rows are considered to be a match, and will have the unique number attached to them in another column.
Those that do not pass the test will be rejected and copied to a third sheet (for future manual processing).
The number of rows will always be different, and the number of columns attached to the data after the intial 4 columns will be different.
Also since there may be multiple matches, any duplicates need to be identified and rejected as well.
Sample data and a specification will be provided.
Deliverables: 1) Complete and fully-functional working .bas file.
2) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
Must work on MS Excel 2002.
