Description:
I have an existing VB 6 application that I wrote a couple of years ago that needs updating.
One of the functions of the program is the extraction of repeating strings within large documents. This is the functionality that needs to be updated.
The task will be to write additional functions that will take as an input a document (usually HTML) as a string. This string will have a number of repeating strings within it (call them records), you will have to write code that extract these repeating strings out and then they will be the output of the function.
For some further information it usually takes me a 2-3 hours to write the code to handle a new document format. I am an experienced VB coder so you can place your bids based upon that. I am unfortunalely too busy at the moment to do this.
I have 10 new documents for the program to handle and so 10 new functions will need to be written.
If I accept a bid I will send the person in question all the information they need to be able to write the code. I will also make payment on a pro rata basis after each new document has had a function for it written, tested and integrated.
I am aware that this is a somewhat vague description of what will be required, I hope that this will not discourage people from bidding. Please feel free to ask me any questions about the project that you are unsure about.
Deliverables: 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
All windows platforms.
The code will be written in VB 6 only.
Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:
Nov 20, 2002 EDT

I have an experience with such a problem. We have made a post processor to rtf2html convertor to adjust the output from convertor to our company standard. It was in the C++, but I have more experiences in VB and VBA then in C++.
I am looking forward to our cooperation. |
