Description:
I need an ASP data entry page & script written to enter this data into a MS Access database on our website. For the sake of simplicity lets say the database name is RobDB and there is a table called RobTBL.
• In this table there are 4 fields named: code1, code2, code3, & date.
• The data entry form has the following input fields: event#, start_sequence#, end_sequence#, employee#, & date.
The ASP script would add records to the database using the following format:
Code1 field in the database = event#employee#lastdigitofsequence#
Code2 field in the database = sequence#
Code3 field in the database = employee#
Date field in the database = date
For example:
Form Entry: event#: 333 Start_sequence#: 10000 End_sequence#: 10500 Employee#: 01 Date: 10-28-2002
Records added to database:

333010 10000 01 10-28-2002
333011 10001 01 10-28-2002
333012 10002 01 10-28-2002

Do until Code2 reaches end_sequnce# from form entry.
I hope this makes sense and can be done easily in asp script.
Server platform is Windows 2000.
I prefer VBscript ASP page.
Deliverables:
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
Windows 2000 server
MS Access database but will want to convert to SQL Server soon.
Works with IE & Netscape.
Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:
Nov 1, 2002 EDT
Deadline legal notes: All times are expressed in the time zone of the site EDT (UT - 5). If the buyer omitted a time, then the deadline is 11:59:59 PM EDT on the indicated date.
Special Conditions / Other:
If possible I would like by Nov 1, 2002.

I understand what you require, and it can be done by me. You will receive the complete ASP page etc. the same day you award me this project.
Infact, while understanding your requirement, I have already developed the ASP page you require, and it can be viewed and actually tested at http://www15.brinkster.com/skumars/robdb/default.asp
You may make entries, and after pressing the button to submit, the records added to the database are shown below.
The program is made using pure ASP and MS Access database. The program will work on all browsers such as Internet Explorer and Netscape without problem.
If I am awarded this project, I&'ll hand over the program source code etc. within the same day.
I&'ll be available if you have any installation queries etc.
I am a Microsoft Certified Solution Developer and am a professional software developer.
NOTE: the website above, will take time to load if you add a lot of sequences, because to demonstrate, I am displaying the complete database on screen, and if you add thousands of sequences, they will add to the database within a second, but will take time to get displayed on screen. |
