Description:
I have a tar/zip file of about 30,000 html files. Each single html file is a Web page displaying one of my Web mail service's user's data. A sample of one of these pages can be viewed at http://209.68.21.55/sample_html.htm.

The
30,000 html files are for users in 17 different domains. For example, if you look at the page on the link above, you will see this user's log in name is "burningknuckles" in the domain genkimail.com, which means his e-mail address is burningknuckles(atmark)genkimail.com. I need this e-mail address extracted from each html page. If the log in name (like "burning knuckles") cannot be easily pulled from these html pages, then the coder might consider pulling it from the tar file, as all log in names and path names (domain names) are listed in separate columns in the tar/zip file.

When you look at the sample html page, you will see that it has about 15 typical user data fields. I need data from two of these fields: the e-mail address in the "Alternative Contact Address" field (which has data (an e-mail address) about 95% of time), and the "Email Forwarding" field (which only has data about 5% - 10% of the time).

FYI, these are users of the www.SuperMail.com service, which I own. We are migrating to a new service, and I need to send e-mail to all users alerting them of our move.

I would like to request a simple statement from the winning programmer that he or she understands this user data is the property of our company, and that the coder will delete all project files after completion and not copy or tranfer the user data to anybody.

Deliverables:
The desired deliverable is simply an Excel file with all extracted e-mail addresses (from all three fields mentioned above) listed one by one, all in one column. I prefer the e-mail addresses by listed alphabetically, which can be done in Excel with one click. The final list is expected to be about 60,000 e-mail addresses. For ease of sending and handling, it would be preferred that the list be divided and sent in 3 - 4 smaller files. I will provide FTP information so the programmer could FTP the files to our Web server.

Platform:
This project requests that the coder run the program himself / herself and provide a finished user list(s) to us. Thus, the program can run on any OS the programmer wants to use. The deliverable Excel file(s) need to run on Windows 2000 Professional

Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:
Nov 1, 2002 EDT
Deadline legal notes: All times are expressed in the time zone of the site EDT (UT - 5). If the buyer omitted a time, then the deadline is 11:59:59 PM EDT on the indicated date.

Special Conditions / Other:
I have other programming projects, html work, and Web server maintenance available. The winning bidder who successfully completes this project will have the best chance to receive other work from us.

My sincere thanks to all bidding programmers in advance.

Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all business projects < $500 (before the buyer's money is escrowed) is a violation of both the software buyer and seller agreements. We monitor all site activity for such violations and can instantly expel transgressers on the spot, so we thank you in advance for your cooperation. If you notice a violation please help out the site and report it. Thanks for your help.

Hello sir,

I'm really looking forward to working with you on this. And while this may seem the standard thing to say, I'm typing it specifically in this case.

I have read throughly your instructions and understand them. I have a fast internet connection which will also speed up the uploading/downloading process.

I will code the program to extract the info in C++, and it will run on any windows OS, though this may not be of much interest to you. I know you're not interested in the program itself, but I'll also provide the source.

I think we can have this done by the end of today if you're still around. Please contact me to ask any questions you might have. Needless to mention I enjoy a good long term relationship with my customers so I'll be available for further projects aswell.

Finally, please verify my resume and ratings given by other buyers for references on my past work. I will work closely with you to ensure the final product is exactly what you need.

Don't hesitate to contact me for any questions,
Sérgio Silva

I'd just like to add: - I've done two similar programs before; they parsed through a big list of URLs to format them properly etc. - I will keep your data strictly confidential and can sign a NDA if you wish.

Thank you
Sérgio Silva
