Description:
Visual Basic 6
The program will accept input from a comma delimited file, and, depending on input from the user, will display certain records from the file.
The user will be able to limit the records displayed by a start date and an ending date.
The user will be able to limit the records displayed by a minimum and maximum account balance
The program will accept the above mentioned parameters from the user using an input form, and will diplay the result records on another form.
The File Textbox will allow the user to enter the name of the file, which will be read by the program. Upon clicking OK, this text box must not be empty. If it is, display a message and return focus to the text box.
The ... Button will allow the user to browse
The user can optionally use either the date range or the past due option groups to limit the records. The user can optionally one, both, or neither of these groups at the same time. If the check box for a group is checked, you must limit the records shown by the data supplied by the group. The two groups are not mutually exclusive. One, both, or none can be used when file is read.
If the user checks the "Limit records shown by a date range" check box, then, when the file is read, only the records which have a date specified by the minimum date and maximum date is to be shown. If the user checks this box, they must enter valid data for both minimum and maximum date. If it is not checked, neither one of these fields are required.
If the user checks the "Limit the records shown by the past due account" checkbox, the program will limit the records shown by the past due account field. Depending on which option buttons is clicked, you will limit the records to be either below or equal to or greater than or equal to. If the checkbox is checked, valid data must be entered.
The OK button will verify all info on the form and will open the report form. I have included my work so far.
