Description:
We need a Utility that will ping the server, or what ever, and tell the person when something is down on it. It would check the ports listed in the config file. it would be a simple little thing that runs next the persons clock (on the task bar) and when it has a red stop light they can click on it to see what service is down, and when its green its ok. This program would have a small config file, that contains: the domain name to check (or IP) ports and port descriptions to check. how long it will check (ex: every 2 min it will check the server). Also: I dont know how the coder would go about making this, so I will add that I am willing to put a file on the server if the coder needs it. Must be coded n C++ or C#
Deliverables: 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
Windows XP. Written in C++ or C#

I can do this in a resonable amount of time and we have worked together before so please keep my previous work in mind when deciding the winner. By the way this will also be done in C# unless you prefer C++. |
