Description:
Tree menu for asp pages
The routine is intended to create quick prototypes for navigating in experimental asp web sites. It is intended
to make it very easy to change the organization of pages of a web site that comprise 20-100 pages that need to be organized in a tree.
A typical tree type menu is for example the top right black menu in http://msdn.microsoft.com/default.asp
The 'tree data' and the page names will be stored in a MSAccess database (see attached). The actual MSAccess
table structure can be changed, but changes should be justified.
Three levels of branching are enough.
There should be minimal java script (about 10 lines max)
The program must be in VB6 (or MSAccess)
When run, the program should generate a file - say MenuBar.inc - to be included in each asp file
<!-- #INCLUDE VIRTUAL="/menubar.inc" -->
to handle the navigation: the same tree menu will be included in all asp pages.
An example of is attached. You can use an other template for the file menubar.inc if appropriate.
An interface allowing to drag and drop the menus in a tree is welcome but not essential : manual update of the MSaccess tables is quite acceptable. If such an interface is done, it must be in VB6 or MSAccess
It should be reasonably easy to change the fonts/colors/size/mouseover...for the drop-down.
All parameters must be stored in the MSAccess database and be easy to change and not in separate files.
Deliverables: 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
windows VB6
Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:
Nov 22, 2002 EDT
Deadline legal notes: All times are expressed in the time zone of the site EDT (UT - 5). If the buyer omitted a time, then the deadline is 11:59:59 PM EDT on the indicated date.
