Description:
I need Delphi code that will handle the AOL (AIM) and ICQ instant messaging protocols. This code is already written in C in the GAIM open source project at http://gaim.sourceforge.net/ - so I just need it ported to Delphi.

AOL and ICQ instant messangers use the same protocol now - so I don't need the old ICQ protocol ported from GAIM.

I just need a very simple user interface - just enough to show that the communication works. There needs to be a simple buddy list, and a simple messaging window just for testing. We don't need all the smiley face graphics or anything like that.

Before starting this project, we will give you the exact events and methods needed in the communication objects. For example:

AOLProtocol.Login (username, password)
AOLProtocol.BuddyOnlineEvent
AOLProtocol.BuddyOfflineEvent
AOLProtocol.IncomingMessageEvent
AOLProtocol.ErrorEvent
AOLProtocol.SendMessage(to_user, message)
AOLProtocol.IgnoreUser(user)
AOLProtocol.Logout ()
etc....

Everything should be coded and possibly documented in the GAIM project, but you may need a network packet analyzer to make sure everything is ok with the protocol. (there are free packet viewers at download.com )

I Hope to hear from you!
