The code will take data from a recordset which I pull from a couple different databases, and place the data (if available) into editable fields on top of background image. (The image is attached and also at http://www.vanderbilt.edu/HRS/forms/BCBS%20Claim%20Form.pdf.) The user must be able to then print the page with the fields located in the correct areas. In other words, I have a form that I want users to be able to automatically +/- manually fill in, from data they already have entered into a couple of databases. I can do the pulling of the recordset, but need help getting the rs fields placed in the correct place on the form to allow printing. I am using VB6 and datareports, and do not want to use the dataenvironment or crystal reports - in fact, if there is a way to do this WITHOUT using reports at all, I think that would be better, though I want the user to be able to have a preview window and the ability to print/fax/save the image... The fields that will be available are as follows (with my pseudocode for edification): Box 1: If rs.insurance = MEDICARE then a an X needs to be placed in the medicare box. If rs.insurance = MEDICAID then the X needs to be over Medicaid box. I want the user to be able to check any of the boxes they chose, as well. Box 2: rs.lastname, rs.firstname rs.MI so that it will go in the box correctly as Picard, Jean L., etc... I have a bunch of other fields too... Essentially every field on the form must be editable, and some will be filled in with the values from my RS (so good commenting is a must). If you show me how to add my rs values to a couple boxes, I can do all the rest of the coding. Thanks!
