Description:
I have a matlab program that needs to be converted to c or c++. It is a calculation program that uses matrix calculations. To make the calculations you need
- a model
- data for the model
- configuration data
- calculation engine
- plotting function

The calculation engine and plotting function don't change. The model, data, and configuration data can change based on the model or calculation that you want to do.

Thus the model, data, and configuration data are input to the calculation engine and should therefor be just text files that can be read by the calculation engine

Deliverables:
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.

4) The new c or c++ code will at some point be part of a downloadable Java application so the less code you can use the better but without sacrificing simplicity (that is difficult constructions should be avoid, the more straightforward the better)

5) Make use of existing free math libraries, but only use what you need

6) Make use of existing free plotting functions

7) The new code needs to be completely modular so that we later on can easily update or make changes

8) There should be no fixed values, everything should be stored as a variable that can easily be changed later on through an user interface. (so there should be something like variables for the admin, and variables for the user that can be changed)

9) C/C++ source code

10) Understandable comments in the code (every function)

11) And executable that can read text files with the inputs data (config, data and markov model) and that plots outputs

Platform:
The version that you make will just be used internally but eventually the code will be used to create a JAVA application.

So It would be nice if the executable would be already a JAVA that uses the C or C++ code

Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:

i have examined your .m files and i can do it. At school we had (past year) 2 one year courses about eficiently working with matrix, and we had plenty of mathlab work.

Hi! About my bid I want to tell you that I wanted to mean a quality work (meaning doing the code not only for archiving the mentioned goal but also for being a efficient one). The bid can go below ...

1 - I dont't remember having set a time limit. As I see you want the program to be ready by Dec 5, 2002. I think I don't need so much time but for testing and retesting there's never too much time.
2 - I don't know if you're familiar with programming languages; I will describe my plan as if you were
1. i will make a function for pharsing the model, data, and configuration data (in modXXXX.m, pers_dat.m and confXXXX for extracting values for the variables needed. As i've seen the pers_dat.m is used in each of the conf files, therefor i could implement it directly in the code or if you plan changing it i will not. The conf files set the values of a number of variables ; I want to know if you are planing to add more variables- cause the parsing function will look only at there set ones (if you are planing to do that later i will make a short tutorial for adding a section to the parsing module);
2. implement the calculation section in a function; we will apply that function to the isa_mat matrice (meening the matrice T form the modXXXX file)
3. implement a function that plots the tree vectors p10,p50,p90 in same manner that semilog does for each pfd,pfs and, ftr matrix.
4. I will do my best for efficiently using resources, and still mentainig the code readable and easy changeable. All structures are given only for getting an ideea. I will make any changing needed for keeping modularity and the smallest source code possible.

I will make any changes needed or asked by you.
P.S.: any of the explanations don't satisfy you? Tell me and I will detail the plan.
