We have decided to begin hosting and managing these web sites in-house. I need both web sites re-created exact verbatim using front-page 00 or 02 and I need both sites fully installed and made operational on my in-house web server (IIS Server 2000 with FP Extensions). We will take care of DNS issues, The developer will be given an account to the destination web server. The previous web site was developed using Cold-Fusion, we do not have access to any of the source material, all content must be derived from the on-line web site. Any complex operations can be implemented through use of ASP. The current site uses some flash, this needs to be re-created, or created using moving gif's. If flash is used on the new site then the home page needs to be setup in two versions, one with flash and one without, and if the user does not have flash then the standard page needs to be displayed, similar to the way it works now. **** NO DATABASE WORK IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PROJECT, STATIC PAGES ONLY, THERE WILL ALSO NOT BE ANY E-MAIL POST FORMS. The form for a reservation will be entirely eliminated, we will have an interactive site online for this sort of thing by the end of the month, I'll provide a url to link it to. I would like to keep the rates stored on the web page, not a database so that we may restructure the rates at any time. The opening flash on the cme site does not require sound and could be redone using gif. The online application for employment will not need to be recreated, that will be eliminated in the new site. I would like to make the Ski Conditions link to the ski conditions at www.snow.com, I would also like to make the weather and road conditions link from any weather source and road conditions from www.cotrip.org Deliverables: I should be able to surf the IP address of the new web servers and not be able to tell the difference between that site and the original site. Additionally, I would likle all source material involved in the creation that will aid the person taking over management of the site on an ongoing basis, i.e. flash files etc. Platform: IIS on Server 2000 with FP extensions. Project also requires some use of flash. Pages developed on Front-Page. If some things are not possible on the new platform we can discuss how to implement something similar using our tools. ASP can also be used freely to implement this new site. The only sticky bits would be the admin area(which I cannot access and may not exist) and any information being pulled from outside sources (such as weather feeds, ski reports etc.). However, none of these issues are insurmountable. I have extensive experience with ASP/SQL sites. Daily updates would be provided and I would provide support for my solution for 30 days.
