Knowledge of SNORT, PERL, CPAN, SMTP and ESMTP, network and socket programming, and BSD UNIX (Preferably OpenBSD) with respect to networking protocols and performance optimization. The ability to parse SNORT logs for mail and recreate the complete email including attachments. To be able to display the resulting email in an easily read format. To design the program so that it works like a standard UNIX command, such that output can be redirected to and from it as well as to file. The code must be written in PERL and be well documented. Deliverables: 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
