Description:
Our current website www.miamiconservancy.com use mainly HTML and ASP and the development was done for a 800X600 screen resolution. We have had several requests to create a Printer Friendly view of the pages. If you set your page margins to .2 then most pages will print fine however this is a Nuance and for non-computer savvy visitors they do not know how to do this. What we are looking for is a Simple method of creating a Printer Friendly version of any page on the website maybe by a Nicely placed JavaScript button in the Banner template so it is available on each page. Currently the whole website uses a template so we were thinking if this "application" could dynamically remove the Left Cell and the Navigation & Search area and display a popup of the "Re-formatted page so that it could print on a standard 8 1/2 X 11" sheet of paper. The solution no matter what is suggested my be easily implemented by us either via a code paste or similar. If you know of any 3rd party components that are available we are not apposed to purchasing them providing you assist in it's implementation. The Website has well over 300+ pages so we need something easy to do. Keep in mind that many of the pages are HTML and the others are ASP. We are not apposed to any VB or C++ MIMI or other applications as long as the out come is easy printer friendly pages that work cross browser platform.
Deliverables: 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
For an Windows 2000 Web server using IIS5 so as long as it work with it the Platform does not matter
