Description:
Build a Firewall program like ZoneAlarm pro.

It should have similar functionality. It doesn't have to "look" as pretty as ZoneAlarm but it should have similar feature.
For example some of the nice features are:
1) Popup warnings when programs need to access the internet or act as a server or someone is accessing from the internet
2) I like how there are "zones" i.e. home network "trusted" and "Internet" zones.
3) I like how it shows each program that's been allowed (the user said OK to allow that program) i.e outlook can access the internet, IE can request info from the internet, ...
4) I like the custom configuration (different things to block) for each zone "internet" and "trusted"
5) I like the alerts and logging section where you can set the loggin choices and choose the types of popup warnings to receive.
6) Use simple text/ini files for user/program settings (I don't want to require database access components in the install).
I realize this is a "vague" description, but looking at, and using ZoneAlarm, will be your best example.
This project should be written in VB6 for the main UI. You can use C or C++ components to do the low level operations if you need to (but I want your source code on that too).
Deliverables:
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
3) Must work (and be tested) on ALL vesions of windows (95/98, ME, 2000, XP, and NT4 sp6)
Platform:
All Windows (98,95,ME, NTSP6,XP,2000)
Written in VB (the main UI) and C or C++ for any low level components (if necessary)
Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:
Dec 25, 2002 EDT
Deadline legal notes: All times are expressed in the time zone of the site EDT (UT - 5). If the buyer omitted a time, then the deadline is 11:59:59 PM EDT on the indicated date.
Special Conditions / Other:
I need you to periodically send me the project code files so I can look at your progress and possibly make sure things are not going in the wrong direction.
