Description:
A text file browser with the look and feel of MS Outlook
-Self contained win32 C/C++ App (no MFC) no other dll's or controls will run on 9x/NT/2000/XP -Basic overlapped Window with Menu, toolbar, Treeview control on left, Listview on upper right, Text window on lower right and a status bar on the bottom. -All windows should be resizeable and store positions in registry on close. -Program will be run from a share or mapped drive without being installed on the client.
Operation -On Startup the program will enumerate folders and subfolders in its current directory and populate the Treeview.
-When the user selects a folder the program will enumerate all .txt files in that folder and display them in the Listview. Standard .txt icon Columns - Name, size, Type Date Modified (Same as Windows explorer). Listview Sorting should work.
* * AutoPreview feature in Listview * * -Underneath each item in the listview will be an AutoPreview pane showing the first 3 lines of text from the file. (this is the same as outlook does for an unread message) Note: Outlook Express does not have this AutoPreview feature
-When the item in the listview gets a single click the program will fill the text box with the file. Files will be less than 5k bytes (Vertical scrolling and horizontal scrolling enabled)
-When the item in the listview gets a double click the program launches the file with ShellExecute.
Deliverables: 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. Preferrably in VC6 project workspace.
2) Source code should be self explanatory with function and variable names like Create_ToolBar()and iFileCount
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.

Special Conditions / Other:
Bidders should indicate that they understand the AutoPreview feature and know how to code it.
Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all business projects < $500 (before the buyer's money is escrowed) is a violation of both the software buyer and seller agreements.

I'm quite experience in Win32 API programming. Working without MFC is no problem for me at all. And all the requirement is not very hard for me. |
