hi!
i am a software developer creating internet and software applications for about 8 years now.
your job seems to be very interesting to code. I did a lot of projects using php and delphi for developing client/server software.
schedule:
[day 1] - create framework [day 2] - complete (alpha) [day 3] - bug fixing. ready.
would be nice if you drop me a line here -
Looking forward to be your partner!
regards Roman Mittermayr

hi!
it's me again.
i thought a bit about the way your problem could be solved.
for the client software there are a few things to say:
i could code it in delphi/KYLIX - that means the app would run on windows (a single exe file - no dlls) and with the KYLIX package installed on a linux machine -it would also run on linux.
else i would prefer coding this in java.
because if you create a gui in c++ then it's quite hard to port that to linux. if a gui is unimportant - and a console application would also be ok then c/c++ would be best.
about the php server software:
this would be easy to solve. the php script checks on the webserver for a login file (that only exists when client is online) and reads the clients ip and port from this file. then it sends a message to that ip and port.
the client software receives that message and the answer is send back via tcp/ip. after a specified timeout the php script sends the number via mail to a given mail address.
quite interesting work you provide here :)
just drop me a line to be your man -
