Description:
This spec has been updated on 30August.
Looking to develop a simple "meal planning generator." Nice, clean Windows-style interface with common icons, pulldowns, etc. Want to incorporate our logo into interface.
Program to work like this:
1) Upon executing for the first time, the user can signs in. (This would allow for multiple people to use the program on the same PC).
2)Now, they can optionally choose their food preferences from a list of three different types of foods (I would provide as a text file). This creates their own food list.
3) They now come to a main screen, where they would generate their meals for the upcoming week. There would be 6 meals per day, with each meal consisting of one food item in the three different food groups. This would be a random generator.
4) There would be the option to specify "redundant meals" (same time, every day) and also to specify up to three "free" meals during the week at a specific time. In either case, this would reduce the number of randomly generated meals.
4) As a user option - application would have to check to make sure that no one meal is duplicated during a day or the day before or after.
There will now only be ONE version of this software. It will include the ability to:
- input personal food items - save personal preferences - print weekly meal plan - save weekly meal plan - print "food item shopping list" based off of meal plan
There are a couple of other minor functions, but the above is the main idea. We have this diagramed out very specifically and will send to the winning bidder so that there is no question about how it should work.
Would prefer not to have an install, but willing to if this is the best way to accomplish. No preference as to language used. Needs to work on all Windows platforms.
Deliverables: Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
Complete copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
Windows (all) Would prefer to be a single executable without install if possible.
Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:
Sep 30, 2002 EDT

Dear Sir,
I have read you requirements and I think it won't be a problem. This is actually so simple that I'd be willing to do it for less than $100 but that's the minimum for your project type.
I could make you deluxe/lite version with a simple registration scheme, i.e. users will use lite version but be able to unlock the deluxe version features by a registration key. I have already developed this kind of protection for another bid request, $120 marketing list manager, viewable in my ratings.
Since you want it in a single exe, no installation program, VB is out of question. My pick would be Borland Delphi, but I can make it in Visual C++ too, though it would take me longer. Do you want the meal lists inside the exe or in a file that you would distribute with the program? If file size is important, I can use older version of Delphi, which create smaller exe files than the latest Delphi 6.
Also I can add the ability for users to add their own meals to the list and enable that feature in either lite or deluxe version, as you prefer.
Finally, if you want to make this for less than $100, post a private bid exclusively for Belgrade Team and we will find some common ground. Take a look at my team's ratings and what other buyers told about the work we've done - you will be satisfied.
One more thing - I cannot make the lists myself, I'll need you to send them.
Boban. |
