It involves developing a fully functional retail system for a small electrical retailer. System should facilitate point of sale transactions (entering SerialNo of item)and also display stock which needs to be re-ordered. Product info and stock levels can be enquired. Refund of goods to be included. Ability to ADD and DELETE items or product info. Product info to include name, serialNo, price, wholesaler price, distributor, etc. Information on transactions made and product info to be stored in database tables preferably MS Access 2000 Deliverables: Main objectives: develop a system that can 1) Record sales of goods, items entered to appear on screen with total sum which can be processed for payment, facilitating for transactions (cash credit ,etc payment) 2) Store main info of products including picture (jpg) and their stock levels, 3) Display warning when stock reaches re-order level, 4) Add & Delete stock items and search for particular item, 5) Basic level security 6) Database design & analysis info (optional if not inc then max bid must be $300) Platform: Special Conditions / Other: Main deadline for project is 30/09/01 Initial phase to completed in accordance with this deadline.
