The button needs to allow the drag-n-drop of a URL directly from the Address window. Once something is dropped on this button, I need to somehow pass this information to another web page. In other words when something is dropped on this button, I need a webpage to be launched and the URL info that was dragged, placed right into a text control. From there I can do the database updating. Deliverables: Deliverables: 1. Some app that can create the custom button on IE5. Netscape would be a plus if doable. I would prefer the app not be VB because of all of the dll dependencies. If a user is going to need to download this app, the smaller the better. 2. When the user drops onto this button, a web page will be launched and the content of the dragged URL will be placed into a single INPUT type=text control. The page only needs to have the single control on it. I can handle the rest, so don't worry about making the page look esthetically pleasing. 3. the button will need some sort of icons. Something that depicts dropping should suffice. If you, the developer can think of a more intuitive way to copy the URL from the address window into a newly opened webpage I would be more than happy to hear your idea. Thanks!
