Description:
new redhat 7.2 installation is giving unable to resolve hostname errors when installing Plesk. I can ping the hostname no problem.

Could you explain the setup of your box, is it connected through a gateway (network) or is connected directly to the line.
Have you tried
nslookup www.google.com

You should get the following the top line is the dns server:
Server: ns1.xxxx.net
Address: xxx.xx.x.xx
Non-authoritative answer:
Name: www.google.com
Address: 216.239.35.100
----
it would seems like you have not setup the dns correctly from previous experance.
if this does not work please send me the contence of the
'route' command cheers. |
