Description:
Survey Application for Palm pilots for Transportation Engineering firm in Vancouver, BC, Canada. We have a prototype which we would like replicated and have a project scope that we'd like completed. Please see attached word file and prototype palm application.
What we wanted to do is create a Palm user interface for a Palm OS platform that would mimick our manual data collection method for our traffic count surveys (ie. literally counting cars/traffic flows at intersections). Our surveyors stand at the corner of an intersection and use manual counters and a stop watch to count the number of cars that pass by in each lane for specified time intervals. They record this info on paper. The data is later entered manually into a template in Excel for analysis. We want our surveyors to use the “hard” application buttons at the bottom of the Palm to act as our counters and to have the data recorded in a table that can be exported to and manipulated in Excel for analysis. Hi there Lindsay,
first off , thank you for the invitation for this project. I am definitely interested in creating the palm application. I am a little confused though. I took a look at the prototype program and it seems to do what you need. Am I correct in understanding that you want this replicated because you do not have the source code to this PRC file? or is it that you need extra items added to this application like a conduit to export data to your excel.
Please get back to me on this information so that I'm a little clearer in what you need.

-Tech support ( Email support , which guarantees that I will respond through email within 24 hours).
-Life time bug fixes: Meaning I will fix all errors that is an error in code(runtime). I usually ask all clients to test the program immediately after they recieve it. Take several weeks to use the program on site with real test data.
-CD with PRC file, Conduit (if needed) and all source code rights.

Hi Lindsay,
You may have misunderstood my previous email. I gave you the price just so that you knew how I came up with the 800 dollars. I do not charge for setup or consulting.
An Invoice will not be created because there is no charge.
Can you please just accept the bid as it is on the website.
I will create the functional spec and send it to you in the next few days.
