Description:
I need to add a report to this MS Access 2002 Database. Instructions are enclosed in the zip file.
I am editing my bid request to exclude the troubleshooting. I have had many different responses on how to fix my buttons and don't know who to believe. In order to fix the problem I will simply require the users of this database to use Access 2002. The application I used to create it.
I am also sending the file as Access 2002 instead of 2000 which I originally sent.
I apologize to those of you who have already sent me advice and such.
If you have questions I will be happy to clarify .

Hi
I open your application and run fine (have to say that I have Access XP and 97 installed), then I converted to Access 97 and also run fine.
The problem is with the references.
I will try to explain this. Access 97 uses DAO so when you use code in your application a reference to Microsoft DAO 3.51 libreary is made by Access. If you create the application with Access 2000 or XP the reference will be DAO 3.6 instead of the 3.51.
The Office installation of Access 2000 not always put the dll's needed for the 3.6 that's the reason why not all the systems run your application.
In the case of Access 97 this reference not comes with the program.
For solution this you must go to http://www.microsoft.com/data/download.htm#Jet4SP3info download the update Jet4SP3 for english and install it in each computer that you plan to use your program, both Access 97 and 2000 machines. This must correct the problem.
About the report I have several years experience with Access and VB, I like to do this for you.
If you have any comments or questions please, feel free to ask.
Thanks for your time. |
