Description:
What I am looking for is simple, I want an exact duplicate of software (Bill of Lading software) already made by another company in Visual Basic 6.0.

I am looking for an experienced programer who has a vast knowledge of Visual Basic 6.0 including databases, which are probably used for the various options of the program. I want professional and easy to understand source code, such as if the code written is written for a procedure, the code has a 'p' infront of variables, etc... Also, I want tons and tons of comments written in the code, which will help me understand what you are trying to duplicate. Do you understand what I am trying to say? When you are completely done with the software, I want to be able to go through it and be able to make changes, understand what each variable means and what it does.
Sum up:
- Make Exact copy of Bill of Lading software in VB6 using databases in (ACCESS), etc...
- Professional coding skills
- Comments
- Fully tested/debugged and 100% WORKING!
- When adding the carriers to the database, add a bunch but not all of them. It will take you too long, I can do this on my time, not your time, but if you like, feel free (I will add an extra bonus if done!)
- And just have fun as I will reward you well.

I would like the software to be completed in 2 WEEKS,(Sunday Aug 25, by 6PM), yes I know this is a lot to do, maybe not, depending on how experienced you are, just make it very professional looking as well as very understandable written code.
Again, I want an EXACT COPY of the SOFTWARE. I believe when you click help,(in the software) it gives an error, so just make a splash help screen appear with what ever you want.
Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all business projects < $500 (before the buyer's money is escrowed) is a violation of both the software buyer and seller agreements.

I have been developing Visual Basic applications that have been tied in with Access databases for the past 7+ years now, so I think it is safe to say that I am very highly qualified for this project. With that said, let's get started -
I have downloaded and reviewed the trial version of the Bill of Lading Software and can tell you that the project I have in mind looks very professional and appealing, but at the same time user friendly. The Bill of Lading Software looked very dull compared to what I had in mind.
I envisioned an Access dayabase as a backend tied in with a very appealing Visual Basic application as a front end. This will give you the power of both worlds. For the bid amount that I have placed, I will provide the following -
1) Thoroughly commented code so that you can do what you need to do in the future.
2) Guarantee all my work.
3) Provide full time technical support for anything you need in the future.
4) Work of the highest quality and nothing else.
The application would be developed in three phases -
1) GUI Development Phase where we will design the outlook of the application(About 1 day).
2) Development and coding where we will hard code the application and tie it in with Access. (About 4 days).
3) Beta Testing where we will trap and fix all the errors of the application. (About 1-2 days).
I also have an application I can send to you that has a Visual Basic frontend and an Access database as a backend that I have developed. By checking the program out, you cann see my capabilities and will not be disappointed. I can not send you the application through rentacoder.com because it is about 10 megabytes, which is too big for the site.
