Description:
Does anybody know if this can even be done?I have a field "Policy Number" It will ALWAYS begin with "IFP" however they want the next two charecters to be the state abbrv which is over in another field so now we have "IFP-TX" or whatever state, followed by a 5 digit autogenerated number begining with "801" so you end up with IFP-TX-00801 for record #1... so all they should have to input at policy number is "801" but the entire text&number would need to be saved for use on reports

Program written in VB 6.0 using access2000 as a backend
