Thus, it is something of a mix between a dating and a chat site in design. The site will allow: (i) users to register and enter profile details into a database, where they will be held securely. Steps will be taken to reduce the possibility of fraudulent registration. (ii) registered users to make calendar entries that are selectively visible to other registered users according to criteria chosen by the user making the entry. (iii) registered users to communicate without revealing more than their usernames (anonymous remailer with multiple recipients). (iv) registered users to view some of the others' profile data. (v) registered users to provide feedback on each other's profiles after a joint activity (as on rentacoder). At present, a minimal user interface will suffice; its 'feel' should be light, clean and 'fun'. If the site receives a positive response, I will place another bid for a more sophisticated interface. I will maintain the site. I have basic HTML and other programming skills, am happy to cut and paste from templates, and learn some more skills. Well documented and structured code is therefore important to me, both to facilitate maintenance and to ease expansion of the site's capabilities. I would also appreciate advice on installing the site. In particular, I will need to know what capabilities my host will need. I plan to use hostroute.com but will accept good advice to the contrary. Deliverables: Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. Complete copyrights to all work purchased. Platform: hostroute.com has Linux hosting. Site should run with standard web browsers and should take users into account accessing it with 56k modems.
