Description:
Web design - flash/php/mysql
We are looking to revamp our web-site. The current site is now a few years old and it needs an overhaul. We are looking for someone who can provide excellent graphic skills and also who is technically competent with php and mysql and programming in general.
The site text will be provided by us and will require a combination of flash and scripting. The new site will contain extra facilities to the current one. The existing site does not reflect the services we provide. It will have a secure shopping area. We sell a large number of products (over 1000). Product and pricing information is supplied to us in excel/csv/xml format from a number of suppliers. These will need to be imported on an on-going basis and therefore an automated facility will also need to be developed. Secure payment facility and secure login will need to be incorporated to accept payment by credit card. We will also require a forum area (there are a number of free php based solutions available which will need to be incorporated eg. http://www.phpbb.com/).
The web-site will also need a regular news section and a scrolling latest news headlines area will need to be incorporated on the main page. A secure administration facility will also need to be incorporated allowing us to add and constantly update the web-site.
We would expect a knowledgeable person to work with us and make appropriate suggestions in terms of design and implementation. We see this developing into a long term relationship. Due to the nature of the development we are looking for someone with impeccable verifiable references and we would require a confidentiality agreement to be signed.
The level of skill required for flash/graphic is someone who can create a site like estudio.com or www.premium-security.com. We haven&'t decided whether to just have a flash introduction or a full flash site. We are open to suggestions here.
In the first instance we would like some sample designs submitted which provide a redesign of the current web main web page. We would also like references and samples of other projects completedand an outline of ability. Do not apply if you cannot supply samples and references.
Deliverables:
Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
Complete copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
Mysql, php, flash.

Hello Sir,
We went through your project specifications and also through your existine site www.hexagon.com.au.
The first point I noticed on your existing site was that the Flash introduction doesnt have a Loading Script..which is very essential as the entire movie is not loaded and comes frame by frame..
We have already worked on Flash Scripting and integration of Flash with Database..We have designers who are Certifed in Flash with more then 3 years of experience..

Continues upgradation of Excel, XMl sheets for product and pricing information wouldnt be a problem..we can have it integrated and automated through the database. We can have teh sheets converted into a DB file and then Migrate the database online.
