The stored procedure must run a transaction to insert a set of records in one table based on query results against another table. The procedure must commit the transaction only if all operations have completed successfully. The procedure must return a value based on the success of the transaction. At several places in the procedure a log entry should be made if the logging function has been activated by the calling parameter (default = no logging). The logging function must be created as part of this assignment. It should be written as a second separate stored procedure ("usp_Log") that simply appends a record to a table whenever it is called. The specification attached indicates the structure of the logging table and the parameters of usp_Log. I have also included an Excel spreadsheet with table structure and some sample data.
