Description:
I am looking for a C, C++ DLL that can be called from a VB6 program that will detect what users clicked on… For example if I click on a windows button, combo box and so on I need the API to send back the left, top, right and bottom coordinates.. I have code that does this well however when it comes to the menus I am have some trouble getting the exact choice the user selected… The API returns the whole tool bar or menu coordinates instead of the place the user clicked… I was informed that I would have to get the selected background area or of the menus and then return the left, top, right and bottom coordinates from that.. So if some one can do this properly please let me know…

1. Design a C, C++ DLL (not Visual C++) that will be used with a VB6 Program

2. Send back the left, top, right and bottom coordinates of what the user clicked on.. Buttons, Combo Boxes, Drop Downs and so on..

3. When it comes to Menus and tool bars use the selected background to return the left, top, right and bottom coordinates.

I have been trying to get this done for sometime now and always been having trouble with the menus.. So if you don&'t think you can return the coordinates of what was clicked on the menus and toolbars please do not replay to this bid.

I've been doing this type of development for close to 10 years. I would be more than happy to develop the dll and supply to you immediately. Are you merely just concerned with coorinates or would you also like to know the handle of the window?
Let me know and I can complete the work with in a day..
