Description:
The Serv-U FTP server can optionally look to C .DLL files for User Validation and Event monitoring.
User Access Verification DLLs:
Every time Serv-U needs to verify access or retrieve an account setting that cannot be found in the internal user database it dispatches an event to the DLL. The access verification DLL can then either provide the information, grant access, or block access.
Event Notification and Hook DLLs:
Almost all server actions generate an event that is dispatched to an event notification DLL. For a number of key server commands these events allow the DLL to block or change commands as it sees fit. This makes for a powerful mechanism to change or extend the FTP server behavior.
These .DLL files must be written in C. However, I only know Visual Basic, and would therefore like to develop functions and procedures in that language.
WHAT I NEED FROM A CODER:
2 wrapper .DLLs that will conform to the 2 functions that Serv-U looks for, and will themselves return the value to a Visual Basic ActiveX .DLL file, where they will be given either a true or false value. In effect, the .DLL wrapper will serve as an intermediary between Serv-U FTP software and Visual Basic.
I have attached the SERV-U FTP Software Help file. Under "EXTENDING SERV-U" are full details regarding these 2 functions.
Deliverables:
1) User Access Validation .DLL Wrapper
2) Event Notification DLL Wrapper
3) When I test them and make sure they work, I will pay immediateyl.
Platform:
Serv-U FTP server runs on Win32 systems. The .DLL Wrappers should be written in a Win32 C program.
Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:

Deadline legal notes: All times are expressed in the time zone of the site EDT (UT - 5). If the buyer omitted a time, then the deadline is 11:59:59 PM EDT on the indicated date.

I can do this for you using a C++ WIN32 DLL. It can be done in 1 day, or 2 at most; I'll keep you updated through the course of the entire project.
You need however to close this bid now as I'm going on vacation by 08/03 and wouldnt be able to complete the project by then.
